about lacraft

Designed in Hong Kong, Made in Japan

I was in search of high-quality shoelaces to customize my sneakers, but I couldn't find any that fit my needs.
So I began contacting different factories to produce what I wanted.

After testing hundreds of samples, I found a textile factory located in Kyoto. It has a long-standing history of over 80 years, having been established in 1935.
The shoelaces they produce prioritize quality over appearance, which is exactly what I need.
They place a strong emphasis on material quality and pay meticulous attention to dyeing and weaving methods.

It’s in the details

Shoelaces are just a small accessory of shoes, but they reveal the meticulous craftsmanship and dedication of the artisan. The brand adheres to a low-key and pragmatic approach, avoiding large-scale promotional activities and celebrity endorsements; the intricacy and quality of the products are the core and focus of the brand.

In an era where Fast Fashion prevails, people tend to overlook the pursuit of quality and details, forgetting that behind every quality product lies a dedication to excellence. This trend has led to traditional textile factories being replaced by low-cost mass-production factories.

I hope more people will learn to appreciate quality and details, thereby preserving and passing down traditional craftsmanship and spirit.

Our life is made up of every little thing stacked together.
